Isn't terrorism really just the ultimate filibuster? Think about it, "I don't like what you want to do, so I'm going to keep talking until you give up". That's a filibuster in a nut shell. Terrorists sieze the stage and demand all attention; if they are not addressed and to their satisfaction, they will just keep blowing up things and people until they get their way. Of course, the jihadists are much more sincere than our Senators. The terrorists participate in suicide operations. Yes, suicide. Our Senators don't even have to talk to continue their filibuster, they just say "I"m going to filibuster and unless you can get 60 votes to stop me, kiss my ass".
